Dr Ralf Goebel is a staff member of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG) in the Scientific Library Services and Information Systems Division. He is responsible for the funding in the DFG Cultural Heritage Programme and he coordinates the DFG digitization activities.

 

 

Born 30.05.1968 in Munich, Germany. 1988-1994 studies in Würzburg and Munich (History of modern German literature; Islamic studies; Linguistics). Graduated as M.A. 1992 Ankara Universitesi, 1993 Goethe-Institut Izmir/Turkey. 1999-2001 University of Applied Sciences Cologne (Library education). 2002 University of Würzburg, Doctoral thesis. 1994-1996 Participation in the Historic-critical edition of Jean-Paul. 1996 State University of New York. 1997-1999 Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, Preußischer Kulturbesitz, scientific cataloguing of the personal papers of the 18th century writer Jean Paul; 2001-2003 Dept. of manuscripts. As from 2003, staff member of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
